We collect one thing on this site: an email address, so we can tell you when the perfumes are for sale. This page explains that in full, including how to have yours deleted.

What we collect
Two forms on this site collect personal data, and nothing else on the site does.
- The signup form in the footer collects an email address.
- The contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional subject line, and whatever you write in the message field.
We do not ask for a phone number, a postal address, a date of birth, or a payment method, because we have nothing to send you and nothing to charge you for. There is no account to create and no password to set.
Both forms include a hidden field that real people leave empty. It exists to catch automated spam and it collects nothing about you.
Why we collect it
The email address is used for one thing: to write to you when the fragrances go on sale. That is the entire purpose. We are not building a newsletter, we will not send you offers from anyone else, and we will not sell, rent, or share the list.
If you use the contact form, we use what you send to answer you. Nothing more.
How long we keep it
Signup addresses are kept until we launch and write to you, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever comes first. If we abandon the launch, we delete the list.
Contact form messages are kept while the conversation is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you write again.
Who else sees it
This site is hosted on Vercel, which processes the request that carries your form submission. Vercel's own privacy terms apply to that processing.
[TO FILL: name every other processor that touches this data once the forms are wired to a real store — the email service provider, the database, the spreadsheet, whichever it is. As of this writing the forms are not connected to a persistent store at all, so this list must be updated the moment they are. Do not leave this vague.]
We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or cookies for profiling on this site.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will do it:
- Tell you what personal data of yours we hold.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Erase it entirely.
- Withdraw your consent, which for a launch list is the same as asking to be removed.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.
Email hello@houseofhiya.in and say what you want done. You do not need to give a reason and we will not ask for one.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has left an address here, write to us and we will delete it.
Grievances
[TO FILL: the DPDP Act requires a named Data Protection Officer or grievance officer with a working contact address. Put a real person's name and a monitored email here. A generic inbox on its own does not meet the requirement.]
If we have not resolved your complaint, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Who we are
[TO FILL: the registered legal entity behind House of Hiya — the company or proprietorship name exactly as registered, and its registered address. "House of Hiya" is a trading name and a policy needs the legal one.]
House of Hiya Studio, Mota Varachha, Surat, Gujarat, India. hello@houseofhiya.in.
We are not connected to House of Hiya the clothing label at houseofhiya.com. If you meant to contact them, this policy does not apply to you.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant and you are on the list, we will tell you by email.
